Tonight I have Actor “Jose Rosete” from Chandler, Arizona
6/08/06
Good evening Jose, great to hear from you again. I just finished watching a short film that you wrote and directed “Indebted” Which is great, by the way. Lots of emotion.
Thank you, I really appreciate that. It means a lot. It actually just got into its 7th film festival. The 7th Annual Cine Cuauhtemoc Pan American Film Festival in Houston on July 12th.
What was your inspiration to produce this film?
Well it’s very personal to me. And I wanted a challenge. I wasn’t getting the opportunities that I would have liked on the independent level.I wanted a chance to show some range. I wrote it hoping I would have a fighting chance as a director and it was such a great experience. I surrounded myself with very talented people, so my cast and crew made it easy for me.
What made you wish to become an actor?
Just watching so many movies as a kid. I got to the point where I wanted to know how movies were made and I was convinced the people making these movies were having so much fun. I’ve been at it for about eight years now and it’s as much fun as I thought it would be. Also it’s a good opportunity to get away from yourself and be someone else.
What was you most challanging role?
I’ve had a few that have pushed me, made me do things I knew I was capable of. “Indebted” is one of those projects.
I pushed myself and that’s a good feeling. “My Brothers Arms” is a great short film I was very fortunate to be a part of. It was shot on film and I so badly wanted to step up to the plate and shine. I think I did that. And then we have a serial killer film titled “San Franpsycho.” I play the serial killer who’s a complete nut job. It was fun but also very demanding. It’s slated for release on October 10th, 2006 nationwide.
Tell me something about "Machined" and your role in the film?
I can't wait until it comes out.I can’t wait either. Lions Gate is going to release it on 8/15/06! People will finally get to see it.It’s a film I did with a friend of mine- writer/director Craig McMahon.
It’s a horror film that reminds you of the old school horror films. I play a random guy who has car trouble and ends up all alone on an Arizona desert road. My life takes a very unfortunate turn when I’m hit by a car on accident. But that’s not the unfortunate part. The driver of the other car happens to be a collector of serial killer memorabilia and he decides he’s going to take advantage of my serious and permanent injuries, including being reduced to the mind of a five year old. He brain washes me and turns me into his own personal serial killer and turns me loose in his junk yard to kill any and everyone I cross paths with. It’s a really good movie. It’s gotten such good press.
Stop reading this interview right now and go watch the trailer, then come back :)
and “Sport Kill", which role do you play?
“Sportkill” is another Craig McMahon film. And I play two characters in this one. It was very interesting but so much fun.

I didn’t know what it would be like and take on two roles.
You’re going to have to take a look for yourself at the characters on the websitehttp://www.sportkill.com
I play the Assassin and Detective Rhames. Craig just put up a brand spanking new trailer for the movie. Be one of the first to check it out.
Any future projects ?
Well besides “Machined” coming out on 8/15/06 I got a vampire film called “The Damned.” That will be released on July 11th. “The Lonely ones” will be released on 8/22/06! “San Franpsycho” will be released on October 10th, 2006. I had the pleasure to work with the late Lindsay Shonteff on his last film “Angels, Devils and Men.” I play one of the leads and we filmed in London, England and Paris, France. I also co-wrote a film titled “The Devil’s Playhouse.” We’re currently seeking distribution so hopefully it’ll bereleased this year.
I’m also in a comedy called “The YAdAdA Movie” that should be released sometime in December.
Your favorite film?
I’d say “Scarface.” I know so many other people like it and for good reason. I’d put that one at the top of my list.
Director?
Clint Eastwood. “Mystic River” is one of my favorite movies as well. I love the way he approaches his lighting to set moods. I feel like I copiedso much from his films making “Indebted.”
What project are you working on now?
Well I just finished another film with Craig McMahon called
Also I’m working on a video game right now. It’s a THQ Inc. video game titled “Come Midnight.” It’s for the PS3 and X-BOX 360. I play several of the supporting characters in it and it’ll be released in2007 sometime.
